Mill River - Past, Present & Future

 Nicole Davis, Watershed Coordinator for Save the Sound will discuss the  work done to improve the water quality of the Mill River in the past  year, ongoing projects and the need to promote public awareness on the  importance of this body of water which serves as drinking water to  hundreds of thousands of CT residents.  Cheshire Historical Society  President Diane Calabro will provide background on Cheshire's  connections with the Mill River, while the New Haven historical aspect  will be presented by Mill River Watershed Association's Malinda Hennes.

The next regular meeting of the Mill River Watershed Association will be in October.  (It is not on the regular second Tuesday because of Yom Kippur.)  All are welcome to the meeting, but do consider becoming a member.

There was a thorough public discussion of the draft East Rock Park Important Bird Area Management Plan prepared by Audubon Connecticut.
